The Browns pretty much have to get rid of Cooper. There’s no way in hell that franchise can afford to pay him $22.58 million in 2025 with the DeShaun Watson disaster, so paying only $7.5 million in dead money will help.
I’d be more than happy throwing them our 4th or even our original 3rd if that gets the job done bc lord knows that the Browns are gonna need draft picks due to all of their money going towards a historic dead money price tag for Watson.
I’m not sure if this would be a 1 year rental here for Cooper. [Reply]

He could walk for a better deal at the end of the season and that's risky when we have the Smith, Bolton and Mcduffie deals to deal with. So a third or fourth are off the table imo. A fifth? Maybe. But Veach doesn't like signing older guys. [Reply]

He’d be a one year rental but if he has a good year he could recoup a pick in FA through a comp pick, even if that’s a 5th or 6th in 2026. [Reply]
The #Chiefs plan to roll over as much of their salary cap space into next year for several big deals they have coming up with Trent McDuffie, Trey Smith and George Karlaftis.
