Fact. I graduated from Texas Tech in '87 and ever since the Leach years and then the Kingsbury years, I've watched some damned exciting quarterbacks that brought energy and excitement and "can-do/will-do" to the field. But I've never seen those attributes like I have with Mahomes.

Mahomes was raw coming out of high school, having only played organized football beginning his junior year. Kingsbury coached him up and got him to a point where he was NFL ready.
As another Texas Tech Alum, and having attended the majority of Tech home games over the last 5 years, Mahomes is the best QB to set foot on Tech's football field in the last 20 years, maybe ever. [Reply]

Same. I almost shit my pants when they drafted Pat. Not only did the Chiefs draft a first round QB but they traded up for him and drafted the exact QB I was hoping they would take.
