Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs trade Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins
Dante84 10:34 AM 03-23-2022
Will update OP with more info.

Here it is: The #Chiefs are trading six-time Pro Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the #Dolphins, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.

The return is a first-round pick and more, while Hill gets a contract extension that puts him among the highest paid WRs in the NFL.

Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

What did he have to do with this? Wanting to be paid like a top WR?

Would've been absolutely nothing wrong with forcing the issue well into the season when the alternative was these dogshit offers.

If Reek wanted $30MM a year there wasn't a world that exist he was going to get it in KC. Not with Mahomes contract and if you want ANY other players of quality down the road.

It is what it is Hill took the money over the team. This isn't the Chiefs fault.

You must have zero comprehension skills. Again, I know what’s publicly available in terms of his arrests, altercations and all other off field stuff. I know a guy like that isn’t gonna go to Miami and behave like an A class citizen suddenly. Especially playing for an organization like the fucking Dolphins which isn’t exactly a tier one franchise in terms of culture.

I don’t expect you to understand any of that though so instead of sucking of Hill on this fine Wednesday, let’s talk about something you may grasp like one of the Spongebob episodes or something.

Veach has never picked more than 6 times in a single draft. With 12 picks this year that’s bound to change unless he trades up

We got a shit ton of draft capital.

1- 28 year old

Vs

12- 20-21 year olds
I'll take the 1 hall of fame bound 28 year old. Thank you very much.

Tyreek told them LAST offseason he wasn't going to restructure. There was no "forcing the issue" into the season if Tyreek didn't want it.

People want to act like Hill had no part in this. His contract demands were such that it's entirely likely he just wanted to leave and there was no "keeping" him.

Watch Veach win Executive of the Year when we get back to the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile Veach is about to bring back Niemann!!!

Guys, I think Brett Veach read about my ideal #Chiefs offseason. Now if he could just find another pass rusher… https://t.co/IpaHBptia6 pic.twitter.com/d4cneuq0Ae

That's great, if true.

Clowney is not average (he's an above average player)
White is not average (he's an above average player)
Bradberry is not average (he's an above average player, probably a top 10 NFL corner)

Those would also be replacing the following guys from your 2022 roster:

White <------- Niemann
Clowney <------- Okafor/Danna
Bradberry <------ Ward

Those are clear and large upgrades at 2 spots, and Bradberry to Ward is at worst a break-even (many would say upgrade).

KC can also get those players, and maybe even a proven WR, too, all under contract for the cap space cleared by Hill (and by a Brown extension, if that comes, and perhaps a Kelce restructure).

There are still a plethora of WRs who would help this team and be credible #2 types in this offense in free agency, if the team wants to go that route.

Even without the picks, the team is using resources to strengthen other positions to make up for the step back at WR.

Exactly.

And isn't Hill's fault either.

Football is a business. Period.
