I still don't understand how Dalton Knecht slid to the 17th pick.
That kid just does everything you want as a complementary player.
Obviously the Lakers are Anthony Davis's team at this point and LBJ is playing great ball. But the difference between the Lakers as a playoff team and the Lakers as a genuine contender would be Knecht and Reaves. If Knecht can continue to develop and Reaves can find some consistency, that team is a really tough out.
Rui and Russell can't be your 3rd and 4th best players in the playoffs. Russell is wildly inconsistent (and consistently shitty in the playoffs) and Rui is just limited. But if you can get Reaves and Knecht to carry that 3rd offensive piece and the floor spacer roles, you might have something worth watching. [Reply]

LeBron on what he saw in Dalton Knecht last season when he praised him while he was at Tennessee: “I don’t know. The same shit I said last year. Everybody on the internet calls me a liar all the time. They say I lie about every-fucking-thing. So what am I now? I’ve been said it.” pic.twitter.com/bPBU1VJGiB
The g league ruined the nba draft. Why should I even be surprised that most of the best young pros went to a competitive college program while a lot of these g league guys have been so underwhelming [Reply]
