1. The winner of Thursday’s practice was rookie cornerback Joshua Williams, who the Chiefs selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. Without Fenton and Sneed, Williams had plenty of repetitions against the veteran receivers. Williams had a nice breakup of quarterback Chad Henne’s pass when he competed against receiver Josh Gordon. In the seven-on-seven period, Williams had another pass breakup when covering receiver Cornell Powell. Williams’ best highlight was when he out-jumped Valdes-Scantling to intercept Henne’s pass inside the red zone.
If anyone Is gonna have a Sneed type of rise I think it's this guy. His measurables for the position are insane already so it's all about how quickly he learns the playbook tbh. [Reply]
