Another weird deal. It's not a bad move in a vacuum, but like the Hampson deal it doesn't really work with the roster. Do we really need another 2b/utility guy? I don't get what the upside is here unless you commit to playing him all the time and hope to flip at the deadline, which we shouldn't be doing. [Reply]

We like half measures. We have no money so we would rather sign 3 shitty guys for as much as one good guy would cost. [Reply]
Not Royals related, but looks like the Orioles are gonna finally get new ownership. Don't know anything about this new group, but I doubt it could possibly be worse than the Angelos crew that pretty much ran the team into the ground for the better part of 30 years. Orioles are one of the few AL teams that I've never really had a reason to dislike or hate. They had such a terrific run in the 60's to early 80's, and it's been pretty bad since they won the series in '83. They've got a terrific group of young players right now, and a good farm, with new ownership, they could be the team to beat in the AL for awhile. [Reply]
