Nzoner's Game Room>Mahomes bringing a WNBA team to KC?
FloridaMan88 02:59 PM 10-30-2024

As WNBA expansion continues, ownership of the NWSL's KC Current — which includes Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany — has met with the WNBA and is in contention to bring the league's next franchise to Kansas City. Mahomes also co-owns the KC Royals and Sporting KC. pic.twitter.com/9kd2VXzWR3

It absolutely isn't look at the attendance of games that she wasn't playing in

I think Alex Morgan, Serena and Caitlin clark buck that. With women’s sport it isn’t about being the best in the world, it’s about being the best relative to your competition. Of course all these athletes would get smoked playing against men but they’ve had enormous viewership anyway.

Since its women's sport related, a bar is opening in KC that will cater to women's sports. I don't see this turning out well.

Might. It will just be a lesbo bar but that is a niche that just might work.

They’ve had proofs of concepts in other markets that have apparently done very well and it’s an untapped niche since you’ll never find a sports bar with women’s games on. As I’ve said before I think people continue to think of this as grown ass adults and haven’t considered that the target is more like the kids softball team.

If its a kids market then why make it into a bar, where kids can't go?

I have no idea how those places work or plan to work. But I always see little league teams at our sports bars during the day. They get to heat pizza and fries while adults have a beer and some wings. Why wouldn’t a kid love that while you have all kinds of sports on tv
