I confirmed from a local newscaster that he was indeed decapitated. He apparently hit one of the metal pieces holding the netting and it severed his head completely off. He was sitting on the front of the raft with people behind him too. It happened on the middle of the ride, where there is a bump. Absolutely horrifying.
