How is it that Cleveland has 13 of their last 16 games at home? Only a 3 game series in St. Louis since starting this series with Tampa Bay on Thursday. [Reply]

Due to Cleveland weather, they tend to start the season with a significant number of road games. [Reply]
If the Royals go 6-7 in there last 13 games, then the Red Sox and Tigers would have to go 13-0 in there last 13 and the Mariners who haven't finished tonight's game would need to go 14-0.
A 7-6 record guarantees the Royals a WC spot and if the Twins go 10-4 or worse during their last 14, then the Royals get the 2nd wild card. Right now they are only 2 games back of the 1st WC spot and 3 games back from the AL central.
Catching the Indians will be easier than catching the Orioles because we own the tiebreaker. Plus it's the best outcome. [Reply]

I've shifted my focus from the teams behind us to the teams ahead. I would love to not have to play a 3 game series on the road in the first round. [Reply]
Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, this has been an amazing bonus season. I never suspected that we would actually be able to get a playoff spot in ‘24. :-) [Reply]
