A lot of times, including the last play of the game, they had 2 DL on one side of the OL crash hard and bull rush the G and T. They see Mahomes flushing out constantly. They crash the OL and flush Mahomes out the way they want and have a LB spy fly to that zone they force Mahomes to go to so he’s got instant pressure in his face.
This also cuts off half of the field. Chargers did this in week 2 and Mahomes struggled badly against it. Bills copied that from Harbaugh and I expect other teams to do the same. [Reply]

Also for being such a shitty QB, on rewatch Mahomes made some pretty good plays.
During part of the first half it looked like the best Mahomes has been in awhile. Especially that drive with Worthy. They looked unstoppable and then stopped doing what was working. [Reply]

That was one of the most impressive drives I've ever seen. Thought oh NFL is fucked now. Then the offense fell flat rest of the game for the most part.
I just hope that was a glimpse of what is to come. [Reply]

That seems to be the idea however, Pat is so much better when the play breaks down and something different happens. I believe that teams have studied the Chiefs, their OL blocking schemes, routes and Pat's tendencies so they can set thing up to exploit weaknesses. The king always has a target on his back and when one arrow hits the mark, others are going to use the same pattern.
The Chiefs have to adjust instead of the league adjusting to them. The rest of the league knows the tendencies and something has to change.
The WR injuries has been brutal; having Rice would have made all the difference. The Bills played a lot of man coverage and took Kelce away; he's just not a man beater. Expect to see a lot more of this until the Chiefs prove they can go over the top consistently again. [Reply]

That isn't true at all. He's the best at doing it, but he's always at his best when he stands in the pocket and hits his guys. He just never does it anymore. [Reply]
They'll adjust. They always do. We have a hiccup or two each season where we look pretty lousy but andy becomes a wizard in the post season. Bills should have saved it for the playoffs. [Reply]
