Ironically Cassian is safer in that prison than he is out of it. The Empire is hunting him but already have him, but his fate at the hands of the Rebellion could even be worse than Palpatine's crew.
This series is way way better than anything yet in the Star Wars Universe.
Spoiler!
He's not staying in prison for the rest of the series so I can't wait to see how he breaks out.....next episode? That potential prison-system future is literally a distopian nightmare.

What we are seeing is how a person can come to be willing to give their life for a cause. It's one of those ancient tropes. When it's done well it's a beautiful thing. They're killing it so far and I'm along for the ride.

that prison seems like it's unbreakable, BUT based on the hand signals across the chasm between the lines of prisoners, there's going to be a riot or something that presents an opportunity
i'm also gonna guess one of the imps fries on that floor before cassian takes his blaster/prod [Reply]

A big chunk of the security system is based on bare feet. Huge weakness. [Reply]

yes, but then there's the implant that literally brings you to your knees, and then there's the fact they're in the fucking water with whirpools around the prison :-)
he's gonna have to fly outta there, unless they have a submersible [Reply]

I don't think that was an implant, it was the floor. The guards weren't affected by it because they were wearing those special shoes. [Reply]

OH! Well, yes, that is a security flaw then. :-) [Reply]

Go back and watch the part where they first entered the prison. They put a lot of visual emphasis on the feet of the prisoners and the guards. They make it really obvious. [Reply]

Kids of the late 70s / 80s owned those too, Moonboots.
