Pretty crazy that we as Chiefs fans have been bored to death of screen passes- especially from Alex, where he left the receivers no place to go but to take a loss. From Marty Ball to last year- our screen pass game has sucked- (accept when Priest was getting the ball).

Now, with Mahomes and our weapons- even the run of the mill screen pass is exciting. Death by a thousand cuts...passes. You have 3 guys now who could take it to the house on a 5-yard pass. :-)

Exactly, Alex sucked at ball placement throwing screen passes. The receivers always seemed to have to turn, jump or practically dive for the ball- which gave the defenders ample time to shut those plays down.

Watching Mahome's college highlights- he is getting a ton of yards after the catch because he is leading his receivers nearly perfectly.

It is going to be a huge upgrade.

That’s the thing. You still need a guy like Wilson as a backup and an athlete like Harris as a backup. Guys like that, with mahomes, will help to keep injuries from derailing the offense.
