It worked so well in Cleveland that Baker Mayfield became a good QB somewhere else.

To be fair, that was a response to Orlovsky saying Rome isn't getting separation. He wasn't trying to shit on Caleb or anything.

Caleb can go ahead and fail in Chicago and be a good qb 5 years from now then. Works for me

The point is people getting so worked up that a rookie QB has to be great immediately is just insanity. It's part of the reason why the league is where it is.

Has nothing to do with him being a rookie. It is 100% body language and how he carries himself.

That entire offense is fucked, they can't run the ball. They are having the exact same protection problems Seattle had when Shane Waldron was there. You've got a bunch of guys pouting. DJ Moore basically had pouty face for an entire game, Rome Odunze basically got bodied for 99% of that game.

Everyone is to blame there it isn't just oh this QB sucks, he's learning he can't get away with shit he did in college but the scheme they are using is not helping him at all.

But I guess that's the Bears being the Bears, get that #1 QB and give him a crappy OC as the only dude to help his development.

It's not just about this year. His body language has been shit for quite awhile.

It's only been two games, but I said prior to the draft and many others did as well that his attitude is not leader like at all. He will not take accountability and be a leader. He has no humility and is far too arrogant

It's amazing to see so many making excuses for a generational talent in the best situation a #1 overall pick could ever hope for.

Is it all his fault? Of course not, but he has been very disappointing, and the red flags that people talked about are already showing a little bit.

1. The most talented qb to ever come out of the draft

2. The best situation a number 1 qb pick has ever been put in

3. He's a better prospect than Mahomes was coming out of college

4. His arm and scrambling ability are elite

5. Caleb said "there's nothing Mahomes does that I can't do"

6. Caleb's dad asked for a percentage in ownership

7. Caleb asked for the franchise tag to be removed from his contract.

8. Caleb texted his new punter "you're not gonna be needed much on sunday's"

9. The media ignores all the warning signs during camp where he struggled a lot. Ignored his struggles against the Bengals second and third stringers in the preseason game and hypes up three throws and a scramble.

10. Media figures like Nick Wright has Chicago going to the superbowl and others have them making the playoffs.

The reason why so many are down on Caleb is because of the huge hype and lofty expectations, coupled with his own well documented arrogance, meant there was a stage prepared for him that only the very best walk on. And right now the kid has stage fright.

I'm sure he will settle down and have better days. But as we've seen with Bryce Young, Zach Wilson etc sometimes physical limitations and a lack of confidence can be a devastating tonic.

How many weeks until Caleb starts blaming other people for holding him back?

Eberflus better get this turned around soon or he’s a dead man walking.
Eberflus sucks anyway, should have been fired already.

Nah - because he'll end up in the AFC where all the other damn QBs are.

I'm fine with him being good in the NFC. A little balance couldn't hurt.
