He did actually.

Mahomes has fixed his “drop 11 yards deep into the jaws of hell” problem, by the way.

His only real flaw was bad pocket manipulation but in two offseasons he made it a strength. Now he’s only taken 17 sacks (25th) despite his OL being hot garbage in pass pro for half the year.

The Chiefs OL isn't perfect. But this happens far more than you'd like to acknowledge. Pass protection is a balance between the blocking unit and the QB. Right now, there's no balance. Mahomes bails out of the pocket early. Next play the LG gets beat, etc...
