Some of the best defenses in league history don't do a whole lot, but do what they do well. See Tampa Bay. Seattle has players who fit their scheme perfectly and it works great for them.

Right. Your starting QB put up 8 points on them in the biggest game of his career then it took a minor miracle for him to put up 18 the next time he played them (seriously, they held your offense to 3 points for about 57 minutes).

What makes you think your backup would actually do a good job against them in a live competition?
