IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

The Chiefs have dominated the division with Alex Smith. 1 loss recently to a Raiders team that got 12 chances to win.

We easily have the coaching advantage with Andy in this division and it’s not particularly close.

If Mahomes is as good as Andy and all of us think he will be? It will be like Manning era in Denver where they won the division every year and got a bye nearly every season. Pat would give us that.

I've watched the highlights again at least 3 times since I posted last night

This is a wierd offseason

Bad Denver altitude too

im amazed at his ability to adjust for the curvature of his throw when he is on the run. that's the great thing about him playing baseball. and have you ever noticed he doesn't jog or sprint or walk. he hops/skips, shuffles his feet (in between plays). it's weird. :-)

What I can tell, the video of him playing baseball is all of him pitching. But when he is asked in some interview he says playing shortstop. And you can see the ability to throw footballs that look like baseballs tbh! He is not a fastball baseball pitching prospect playing football, he is a football prospect with deep baseball background.

This excerpt from an interview with Andy this week sure makes it seem that Veach was the main guy driving the Mahomes hype train last draft season.

Not the first time I’ve heard things that suggested this to be true. I love Veach for many reasons. But for this alone, it would be enough.

I’d bet a lot of money that Veach was introduced to Patrick Mahomes when he watched the Texas Tech-LSU Bowl game. He was the SEC scout and LSU was stacked full of talent, so it’s highly likely that he was monitoring all those guys.

That was Pat’s most impressive game

LSU would've destroyed any other QB in that game. Mahomes made baked chicken fettuccini cuisine out of cow shit.

Could very well be the case. I believe Veach was certainly the first voice in the room that brought Mahomes to everyone’s attention. I do however believe that almost if not everyone else was on board, including Dorsey. You could tell he was thrilled on draft night to make the move too.

Im simply shocked that the Smith nut huggers actually left. I mean, i thought that was just smack talk. They really DID scurry off. Cray cray.

I noticed that when I was watching his highlights Clay posted. I figured it was from his basketball background- you do a lot of feet shuffling, stutter-stepping to lose your guy to get open. I think it makes him more elusive.

When he is running to his right...he can make any throw accurately on a dead run. That's what shortstops do every game. It takes a special person to be able to do that.

You can tell he LOVES the game.

When he is running to his left he can make any throw. In fact I believe he prefers throwing when he rolls to the left. That's his comfort spot, which is very unusual for a right-handed QB.

Don't you think winning so much will get boring ?
