The U.S. Coast Guard was looking for the submarine Monday morning after it disappeared during the expedition from St. John's, N.L. The infamous 1912 wreck is located more than 600 kilometres southeast of the province in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The trip to the Titanic was being run by OceanGate Expeditions, a U.S.-based company. It uses a five-person submersible named Titan to reach the wreckage 3,800 metres below the surface. OceanGate's website advertises a seven-night voyage to the Titanic for US$250,000 per person, or approximately CA$330,000.
"We are exploring and mobilizing all options to bring the crew back safely," an OceanGate spokesperson said in an email to CTV News. "Our entire focus is on the crewmembers in the submersible and their families."

Those tours are a series of five eight-day missions to the Titanic with the money raised by tourists going towards Titanic research. Posts on social media show the ship launched from the St. John's area last week.

Did they really have 5 people in this?? Or do they have a larger version??

Logitech F710

Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5 stars)

Review:

My recent expedition to explore the Titanic wreckage turned into a nightmare, largely due to the Logitech F710 controller. Unfortunately, this controller completely ruined my experience. From the moment we submerged, it became clear that only the down button was functional, severely limiting our ability to navigate. As if that weren't bad enough, the controller frequently disconnected from the submarine, leaving us lost in the abyss.

To make matters worse, our situation is dire. We have a mere 10 hours of oxygen remaining, and the lack of control exacerbates the sense of helplessness. The frustration has reached such levels that I'm on the verge of imploding with anger.

In summary, the Logitech F710 controller's malfunctioning and constant disconnection significantly marred my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the Titanic wreckage. It's an absolute disappointment, and I would strongly advise against using this controller for any critical or adventurous endeavors.

It gets better/worse the more news comes out about the craft’s construction.

1960 had a better sub. Home Depot sub was a death trap.

In fairness, it saved some jobs. The engineers working there couldn't get a job anywhere else.

Noooooo….we’re supposed to feel sorry for these people.

That CEO should be remembered as a murderer.

The CEO took advantage of the system and as long as it’s all legal you have to hand it to him.

All in all I'd take instantly turning into tomato soup over falling off a building or whatever pain and consciousness lingers for a bit after a bullet to the brain. One millisecond you're a conscious person, and the next you just cease to exist.
