Maz apparently introduces the Resistance to DJ. She helps the Resistance by pointing them toward a “mysterious new ally”. Maz has been forced to become more mobile and take more of a role in the criminal underworld. [Reply]
They have done a really good job of keeping Del Toro's character out of the mainstream discussion. I am legit curious as to who he is and what he is capable of. [Reply]

He's a slicer (hacker). He's a mercenary in that world and works for the highest bidder, no matter if it's the Resistance or the First Order.
That makes him very interesting, IMO. No loyalty to anyone means that he could potentially swing the conflict towards either side with no skin in the game. [Reply]

Awesome. Lucasfilm once again leaning on the EU. Timothy Zahn invented that term/occupation.
I wonder if he'll hack some First Order or Republic database and discover the truth about Kylo and/or Rey....or Snoke.
