The Raiders are just out to rat-**** the whole division with these awful contracts that re-set the markets. But hey, glad to see them pushing all-in with a team that's gonna win 8-10 games and go home in the 1st round.
That's a real can-do attitude.
More like 1-2 years. Wilson is on the last year of his contract next year at $27 million, doubtful he plays at that amount.
Herbert is extension eligible after this season and LA probably should look into extending him sooner than later, contract will only get more expensive the longer they wait. [Reply]

I think the Broncos and Chargers will be paying their QB’s next Spring. Broncos for sure won’t let Wilson play on a contract year without a new deal and I’d imagine that the Chargers won’t let their QB go into a 5th year option without a new deal.
So really the Broncos and Raiders losing picks and having to pay new QB deals really puts them behind. [Reply]

Odds are, the try for a new QB option doesn't yield a good a QB as Carr.
That’s why having an average to above-average QB kills teams. He isn’t bad but he isn’t good enough.
Colts were smart enough to realize that Wentz wasn’t bad but he’d never get them to the promised land.
I can tell you guys believe this whole "Derek Carr: Elite" thing by how hard y'all are working to convince 'us' of it.
Like I said - y'all have fun with this one.
Because it's so extremely rare to see a fanbase try to talk themselves into overpaying for an average QB and then try to convince yourselves that he's a championship caliber guy. And when they do, it ALWAYS works out for them. Every time.
