Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Leading the league in deep passes didn't trip your trigger? [Reply]

Alex absolutely shocked everyone with that, anyone claiming different is a straight up liar
But my sense of things, was that it felt kinda forced
Dont get me wrong, I loved it and loved him for that effort, but it maybe wasnt something he really wanted to do, but felt forced to do... just imagine if he had been playing that way from 2013 on
Lets wish Alex well with his offensive minded HC, but let go of the past and get aboard the Money Train! [Reply]

Mahomes is going to hang onions, for better or worse. That’s just fine, because it’s the best way to do business in the NFL.
Given the talent available, this unit should be applying pressure to the opposing defense from kickoff to triple zeros.
WORD.

Superstar is written all over the kid. The Chiefs have NEVER had anything like this. The sports analysts were practically crying in disappointment over the end of camp and Mahomes going to the bench for the season.
All it's going to take is a few good games with accompanying 'W's', and the buy-in from the talking heads will be massive and across the board. Sharpe will of course be last, but fuck him anyway. :-)
Mahomes generates highlights that the other young QB's in this league can't even BEGIN to produce. Hell, there are VETS that can't even do what he does in that regard.
Make no mistake:
If Mahomes and the Chiefs take off, and stay in the upper tier every season, Pat Mahomes WILL supplant and be the successor to Tom Brady in the eyes of this league once he wins his first Super Bowl. The league wants dynamic and winning QB's, and there will be NO ONE hotter than Mahomes once he starts generating the highlight reels.

No. This is why I hate this place sometimes.
I've never been against upgrading LG. Just no 1st rounders. EVER. Spend free agent money if you have to, but NEVER spend a 1st rounder on a non-LT.
I've been saying Witzmann is fine depth and not worth just flat out cutting. People lose their fucking minds about Witzmann and assume he's the worst thing since unsliced bread when in reality he's actually the best LG we've had in several years (as low of a bar as that is).
That's it. I'm not married to Witzmann at all. I'm only saying that people need to get a fucking clue when it comes to him. He's not McGlynn. He's not even Fulton as a LG. He's way better than either of those two. [Reply]

Still bad in the RZ with the leading rusher and one of the best TEs in the league.

Red Zone offense was the most hideous thing I've ever seen. It was pretty much a "why even bother"-affair. Stop wasting everyone's time and just kick the 3, please.
That will, of course, no longer be the case. [Reply]

And still awful on 3rd down.
And still avoided the intermediate range of the field.
And still rarely threw into tight windows.
Sure, he surprised us by throwing to a wide open Tyreek streaking down the field from time to time, but ANY decent QB shouldve been able to do that.
Our receivers led the league in separation for the 2nd year in a row.
So, no. Alex leading the league in deep ball passer rating didn't "trip my trigger", just like Damon Huard leading the league in deep ball passer rating in 2006 didn't trip my trigger.
It was an outlying year due to numerous factors. His previous 12 years proved that. He will never have another year like he did this year. [Reply]
Just imagine all those wide open receivers running downfield that Alex never could see with Mahomy at QB. I could see him hitting all those . Our underneath and running game is going to get opened up sooooo much.
