2) Practice pleasing yourself
Constantly seeking approval means we're perpetually worried that others are forming a bad opinion of us. We come to feel vulnerable and prey to whether other people are pleased with us or not. This steals the fun, creativity, and spontaneity from life.
Make a point of doing stuff now and then purely because you want to. This is not being selfish; it's letting other people know that you're a multi-dimensional person with your own tastes, ideas, and enthusiasms.

Unless youre just not very good looking, just use online dating places. If you arent and have a good personality then you will have the best luck dazzling drunk girls with temporarily lower standards at a bar. [Reply]

That's very true advice.
If your really good looking, tall, and have great charm then you can really go after those quite shy type of women who never get laid. Ones who are dying to spill all their silver dollars and say things like "I've never done that before".
My favorite is the older broken milf who was married to the same guy since HS and now finds herself single. Take'em out on a fun date, win their trust and they will go wild if you lead them to it. I once gave one a piggy back ride to the car as we where leaving the casino and she couldn't remember the last time she had one(I asked her). She was melted butter in my hand after that. Try it sometime on a date. Something as simple as a piggyback ride can do you wonders on opening up some fun/laughter. [Reply]
