And try it before you question it. Yes, it's more spendy, but it's friggin awesome! Do a flank steak and a round steak at the same time, then tell me if you don't taste the difference.
I would never use any 'steak' for jerky. Round steak is just a pre-sliced rump or round roast. You're paying extra for the same thing as buying it as a roast and slicing it yourself. Flank steak is a whole different part of the cow, it comes from the abdomen. I'm sure it's just as tasty made into jerky but a waste of expensive meat to me.

Since I slice the meat first and then marinate it for a day or two I doubt there's much difference.

You could go in and get a cart full of fruits and veggies for like $25. Same shit at Hy-Vee would easily be double, you just have to use the stuff from Sprouts quicker.

They regularly have great deals on their meats. Boneless, skinless chicken thighs for sometimes 1.28/lb, steaks and shrimp are often ridiculously priced.
It really is great. I think their produce is the best quality for the price and their meat is solid.
I really like their coffee too.

fired up the smoker for a leg of lamb, chicken drumsticks, corn on the cob and smoked baked potato.

seasoned the lamb with the normal garlic, salt, and rosemary.

chicken drumsticks are rubbed with johnny's from mission ks :-)

will lather the potatoes with garlic olive oil and salt.

:-) been on for a few hours, just put the chicken on. several hours to go.

:-)

Empanadas from the empanada guy. Braised beef (my favorite), spinach/cheese, bacon/date, and banana/nutella.

Bought a 7lb Chuck Eye roast (2.77lb) to smoke (like a brisket) and will take pics of it. I am doing a smoker, crock pot, shred, and return to the smoker method.

I don't pay retail on fresh fruits and veggies. I work my meals off of what is on sale at the store at the time I go to the store.

I saw they did have green grapes on sale for .88/lb.
