Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

He will throw some INT's. Probably a few that cost us. That's part of learning. And it's also part of being our very own QB. I can be patient while he grows.
We need to form some kinda mafia that immediately pounds the piss out of anyone who starts in about Mahomes inevitably throwing a few picks... we could call it the Red Rep Cartel, or something :-) [Reply]

Oh, and of course having a QB who isn't a huge pussy will be a great thing during the playoffs!
This year isn't the 'gap year.' This year is the 'surprise everyone' year, and the rest of the team better be prepared to hang with him. The longer-term story will be how the league responds to a 'year of tape' in 2019. [Reply]
I love what Cowherd said about Mahomes a couple days ago... He said something along the lines of, "Mahomes is fun. And don't you think the fans in KC deserve someone that's not only good, but FUN. KC hasn't had a fun QB in years. KC has had some boring QB's over the years...Elvis Grbac, Trent Green. Let the KC fans have some fun for once!!"
I thought it was funny that he mentioned Trent Green of all QB's...we had way more boring QB's than him. Hell, Green was the QB in the infamous "no punt" game. Bono was awful to watch. Smith was yeah...boring as fuck...infuriatingly boring. Cassel was more infuriating than boring. Boring as hell, but moreso made you want to rip your own face off when you watched him bumble around... at least he gave us some comedy...the hate fail, the "falling when jumping in celebration" fail, etc. Huard. All these guys were more boring than Green...although I think Smith, although not mentioned directly by Cowherd, was included, since the segment was primarily about the trade.
But yeah, Mahomes is gonna be fun to watch. Thank...God. [Reply]

that's what happened to dak as well. watson and trubisky may suffer next year, not that mitch shattered any glass ceilings. goff and wentz did okay though, so it's hard to say about the sophomore slump and how it applies across the board. :-) [Reply]

Do we even know if that's out of the norm for him? [Reply]
