Just like #ChiefsKingdom has always been there for me and my family, we want to be there for them.❤️
The @Chiefs have launched #KCStrong, an emergency response fund supporting victims and their families, violence prevention and mental health services, and first responders.… pic.twitter.com/sYMnPgCWL0
Friendly mod reminder, this thread is about yesterday's shooting. Not about gun control, gun laws, politics, or anything of that nature. If you need everyone to know what's wrong in this world and how you'd fix it, grab your megaphone and soapbox and take it to DC, thanks. [Reply]
What a sad stupid scenario. Was at the last, great Superbowl parade.
If someone had intent to shoot a bunch of people, they could have easily shot players as they were walking and close to the fans.
All of this has probably been covered in this thread… the Op isn’t updated and Ive not gone through this thread, yet.
After scouring tweets… it seems like there was an argument with two groups of people… and one group walked away and started spraying the area the other group was in.

I’m not sure if this is a shot at me. I’m not looking down on anyone. I’m a blue collar electrician. I picked up an extra shift Saturday to afford my family this 4 hour trip from Tulsa. I spent 10 years working construction I’m not nor do I think I’m better than anyone. [Reply]

Or we as a society could keep repeat criminal thugs like this in jail forever… where they belong.

We're not all like that, Chiefs. 99.99 percent of us are awesome people.
Sad situation overall. This will be talked about for awhile, while the SB repeat is in the background. Chiefs fans are seeing a great time in the teams history and this one incident should not be apart of that. [Reply]

The eyewitness today who watched the first shooting unfold from a couple feet away - watched one of the gunmen fire THROUGH the inside of a backpack. @KMBZradiohttps://t.co/ehODYcvYmj
Yeah this is a ton of information. Confirms that the guy who got shot also had a gun, and maybe tried to fire back (presumably the guy he was with too, which may have been the shooting in the parking garage).
Sounds like the two bigger older guys might have shown the gun and threatened the kids first.
Could very easily be rival gangs. The one big guy in handcuffs was in all red but no Chiefs gear at all, which seems weird. [Reply]

What a scary unthinkable day.. thankful you all were together for those moments. As i mom i want to thank you. Jackson was able to get the child to the police for help. Blessings to you

Possession of a fully automatic firearm is illegal under 18 U.S.C section 922(o). They can only be legally owned if registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. Possession of a fully automatic firearm without registration in the NFRTR also violates 26 U.S.C. section 5861(d). Both are federal felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison. [Reply]

Makes you long for the "eye for an eye" days. They should shoot whoever is found guilty right there in the courthouse.
Rest in Peace Lisa Lopez. Lisa Lopez-Galvan was a mother of two and was senselessly murdered today in the #ChiefsParade shooting. God speed and bless her husband and children with peace. #RIPLisaLopezpic.twitter.com/ItBQU192St
