I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.

It was lame as fuck and he should be embarrassed for doing it. [Reply]
I really thought they had no chance of stopping them or winning.
A great game by the defense, by players who struggled this year, a gritty performance by the walking wounded. We'll see these highlights of this one for years to come.
It really doesn't pay to kick a wounded team, but someone had to lose and it was them. [Reply]

I'm wondering why Anarumo played so vanilla for most of the 1st half. If that was his plan, it wasn't a very good one. I was sure they would come out blitzing more. [Reply]

He should have kept it to speaking about the teams in a more general way instead of singling out Mahomes. Seems like it was beneath the office of an elected official. Obviously he was joking, but I still like to think our elected leaders can behave a bit more classy. [Reply]
Well, they should now have learned the lesson we learned a few years ago. Success is temporary and the rent is due every day.
Also, disrespecting your opponents doesn’t usually work in your favor. Fans should never act like their team is invincible. Players shouldn’t run their mouths until the work is done.
And, things like whatever runs in Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes’ veins really matter.
Mental toughness matters. It’s the difference between a hobbling Mahomes running for that first down and #58 giving us the last chunk of yards we needed.
It’s the difference between leading the game winning drive with special teams and practice squad players (until recently) and not getting it done even with two superstar receivers.
Burrow’s a good one but he hasn’t reached that level, of being inevitable.
This will be a great rivalry in the coming years. Will be fun to watch. But the Bangles learned that pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. [Reply]
I think the funniest thing isn't necessarily the Cincy Mayor, the Bengals fans crying foul, or the pundits blaming the refs, it's all those people who are so infuriated that they lost money betting against Mahomes. Knowing every bitchfest on Twitter could be one of those assholes losing money... chefs kiss. [Reply]
