To be fair, it was pretty clear the HC didn't have a ****ing clue. There was zero desire to actually win the game at that point. Zero urgency.
Perhaps the goal was a moral victory.

That last "hurry up" drive reminded me of Smith taking an eternity to score at the end of the game against the Pats in the 2015 playoffs.
