Left Tackle Miller looks great, DE Maxx Crosby had a 10 sack rookie season, and Mullen has been a decent DB. Not every team hits on all their drafts.
Raiders have an up and comer TE Foster Moreau, Hunter Renfrow is nicknamed 3rd and Renfrow, and Clelin Ferrell has been OK but was drafted to high.
All these players were drafted by Gruden. I count 5 players who were on the roster the day Gruden was hired.
Raiders played many rookies this year without a training camp and they lack depth. They have issues but still went 8-8 while having a top 10 offense. Their defense was historically bad.
Bottom line is Gruden hasn’t gotten it done and is looking average. Chad Forbes is a hater. [Reply]

Yeah, I wasn't actually sure who they drafted. Don't really track Raiders drafts. Forgot about Crosby completely. He may or may not turn out to be legit, but he had a good rookie year for sure.
They need help on D, and ultimately they have to find an upgrade for Carr. At that point, we'll see if Gruden is good enough or not. [Reply]

Well, except that they did beat KC and scored enough to beat us again, if not for Mahomes. And expecting any coach to be Andy is kind of unfair.
On offense, their biggest problem, IMO, is Carr. He can play well at times, like he did against us in week 5, but then he'll have an inexplicably bad game, like he did vs. NE. He has a habit of fumbling snaps, or fumbling through the EZ, or throwing terrible picks, etc. Some of that isn't really on Gruden. Carr, at the end of the day, has to take better care of the ball, and play better situationally. Sometimes he does, and other times he doesn't. That inconsistency probably cost LV at least 2-3 games this season.
Add on the gaps in their defense, and their margin for winning gets pretty small. Give them a true franchise Qb and maybe Gus Bradley is actually a better DC, a couple upgrades on D, and who knows. [Reply]
The practice squad must really look up to Peterman. With moves like this that team is really going places, just you wait and see! (said every Raiders fan ever for nearly 20 years) [Reply]

Ruggs is an A+ or A- how exactly? He did absolutely nothing.
Jacobs was a solid pick, but he still hasn’t proven that he can handle a huge workload for a full season.
Waller was actually plucked from the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.
Ruggs didn't do much if anything at all. In his defense though he had no camp/pre season. It's hard enough to for WR to break out their rookie year. He has room to improve but is def not "A" anything. I thought Rookie WR Jefferson from the Vikings looked legit and he was the 4th or 5th WR taken.
Jacobs problems is Gruden is going to run him into the ground with how many carries he gets.
The Raiders are in a good position to improve and will have high expectations next year. [Reply]
