Alright guys, let’s have ourselves a 2025 OL Thread.
Current OL Questions:
1) We’ve invested in OL, what are your thoughts on their development path and potential roles next season? ...Kingsley, Morris, Humpries, Caliendo, & Nourzard.
2) Thuney’s holding it down at LT fairly well and getting paid big money, are you open to him playing there or moving him back to LG? For the playoffs & SB or next season?
3) Are you planning on picking up Jawan Taylor’s contract option in 2026 @ $27m cap hit?
2025 OL Draft Prospects:
Depending on where you look we’ll get a chance to draft one of the following O-Lineman @ #32: Jones, Milum, Williams, Ersery, Simmons, Savaiinaea, Conley Jr or Booker. Some OL prospects that CP members have suggested for rounds 2-4 include Ratledge, Membou, Mbow, Jackson, Nelson, Brown, Colby, Belton, Fairchild & Zuhn, C Grant. Not much consistency in rankings or rounds for these prospects yet.
1) Would you take an O-Lineman in the first round or wait until later in the draft?
2) Who do you have your eye one? Why are they a good fit? Are they starters or projects?
3) Please add your own questions, comments, player draft profiles, links, videos etc for your favorite OL targets below!
Oregon NT Jamaree Caldwell ate Milum's lunch at OG too. Milum is not looking great so far. I think he'll have to move inside but he's gotta get used to blocking inside.

I think Conerly and Simmons are better prospects than Suamataia was coming out.... but does that mean they'll be better than Suamataia now? That's a question only the coaching staff knows for sure.
I think Conerly is far more athletic than Jeremiah gives him credit for. With Simmons, if you draft him, you probably have to bring in a vet to hold the fort for a bit because he isn't likely to be really ready to go come training camp. I think he might need a month or two of catching up. [Reply]

I think if Simmons gets within striking range, you have to give that a shot. You don't have to squint to see an NFL LT there. [Reply]
One to keep an eye on is Carson Vinson out of Alabama A&M. Not a day 1 starter but has a lot of intriguing qualities. Also the reports on him at the senior bowl practice m have been very positive. Might be climbing boards.

Yeah, apparently he's been solid. Though these 1-on-1s don't give you "a lot" of true info. It doesn't help when a guy gets blown up on a rep though.
Conversely, I've seen a lot of bad on Emery Jones Jr from LSU. Some thought he could make the transition from RT to LT... apparently not doing so hot at all anywhere. [Reply]
Really why I keep coming back to CB and RB with our first and/or 2nd rounders.
I just don't see a solution to LT that's going to be available for us. We're likely going to be better served re-signing Humphries (or acquiring another fallback vet option) while hoping for additional development from Kingsley and Morris.
Fix what we can fix. Don't go chasing points, so to speak. [Reply]
