Hopefully the offense will step shit up to counter it.
There's no question that if we continue to play as we've played all season, losing an automatic FG kicker for a guy who couldn't even make 70% in college last year is a significant problem for the next 3-4 weeks. The margin for error with this team has been tiny in most of these games.
But at least it's only the next 3-4 weeks and not the playoffs. [Reply]

It is. Sportsscience or NextGen Stats did a piece on the physics of kicking years ago, so I don't remember the exact amount of force they cited, but the energy translated through the plant leg to the ground is several hundred pounds (some multiple of body weight) due to the steep downward angle taken. Also, a significant part of the energy is dissipated as torque during the follow-through.
I wondered why he was dropping like that last season, but didn't think it was due to pain from a torn meniscus. [Reply]

No telling how long it takes him to get his confidence/firm back after being off , that ankle injury 2 years took him a while to get back to himself , we are well aware how losing because of a kicker feels like. [Reply]

Going from one HOF kicker to another HOF kicker. :-) [Reply]
