There’s a decent chance this could end up being the best group of receivers that Mahomes has had. [Reply]

BATON ROUGE- Just a week after police called a fatal shooting that involved two LSU athletes, "self-defense" District Attorney Hillar Moore says based off of the evidence the shooting will likely be classified as a justifiable homicide.
"Based on what they have at this point they have concluded that this is justifiable homicide, a justifiable shooting, and I was there with them at the scene as well as my office and throughout the interviews and having seen the interviews myself. I think that their conclusion is sound. It’s the same conclusion that we have at this time," said Moore.
Now, this is not the final conclusion, there are still a few steps that need to be taken.
"It’s not a final decision, but it's one that seems to be consistent with all of the evidence and statements that we have seen," says Moore.
The shooting took place on December 22, 18-year-old Kobe Johnson was found dead at the scene. Authorities said LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was involved along with LSU linebacker Jared Small.
Police say the two LSU athletes were trying to sell an electronic device when Johnson attempted to rob them. On Wednesday, it was learned that Edwards-Helaire was the person who pulled the trigger on the alleged attacker.
One of the athletes pulled out a handgun and shot Johnson multiple times. The two athletes involved reported the shooting then waited at the scene for authorities to arrive.
"They stayed at the scene, they were cooperative with the police, and they were very polite. They were very articulate from the start," said Moore.
Just this week LSU head Ed Orgeron announced that both players will in fact play in the Fiesta Bowl.

If you remember, Rice was very very fast for like 3/4 of a 40. Then he fell off at the end.
He doesn't have the extra gear but dude has the speed to get open all day.
And now that he has more command he looks like he's getting open with ease.
In fact, he looks cool as can be in that video. I can't figure out how he reminds me of but I feel like there is some shades of Davante Adams there. [Reply]

His acceleration is incredible, which is obviously why they used him in the role they did last year. He is so smooth in his strides, too. He just glides.
Man, this is exciting. For real this time, not like that fake excitement last year. :-) [Reply]
Rice, if he doesn't get suspended, will be out #1 WR. Hollywood and Worthy and Watson will be more deep threat decoys. Like it or not we are a middle of the field offense. [Reply]

Thank you for confirming for me that our downfield passing attack will be lights out this year. [Reply]

There's no indication that they won't be successful with both the middle of the field and the deep threat. [Reply]

We are a "rape your defense all over the field" offense. [Reply]

I think defenses will continue to dare us to go deep. Until we can prove we can do it, they'll prepare for the short, easy stuff we did last year.
But if we can prove the deep threat is back, then it's over for the rest of the league. [Reply]
