I've seen the pine tar thing a million times of course and some stories around it, but not sure I've ever known the game was resumed.... and then WTF is with the clown show of throwing to 1st and 2nd base like Brett didn't tag one of them 3 weeks prior. :-) :-)

The clown show of going to each of the bases was Billy Martin shooting an angle. The umpiring crew on hand was not the same crew as before, so he was hoping to cause enough confusion to draw things out longer. However, the commissioner had anticipated this move and they had signed statements from the original crew that Brettt had touched every base.

Playoff Baseball is like crack.

As a casual fan of the sport, its hard to get invested in 1 game out of 162. Just doesn't have that impact.

But playoff baseball? Living and dying with every out and every pitch? Its exhilarating. So fun.
