Can't wait to get crushed for this opinion, but it just feels like asking for an undefeated season while chasing a threepeat is bad juju... its asking for too much IMO
I'd much rather we lose a game or two just to keep everyone frosty, to remind them that yes they can be beaten if they're not playing their best ball... look no further than the Patriots undefeated season to see what can happen when a team sniffs too many of its own farts
I don't want to meet Detroit in the Super Bowl with our heads in the clouds

As much as it's about the 3-peat being more important than the undefeated season I wouldn't be able to pick which game/games to lose. Every week going in I'll be wanting that win bad. And if we lose I'll be pissed. [Reply]
Usually I would say all hands on deck and for the #1 goal to be to go undefeated but not this year. We have a chance to do something no team has ever done before. But if they go undefeated. I tell you what, Ill allow it. [Reply]
They are going to go into every game wanting to win. Some might be more vanilla than others, the last week or two could end up in resting guys more than normal, but they aren’t going to say “well we need to lose a game so we can win the Super Bowl”. I’d be shocked if going undefeated and 3peat isn’t the goal. Obviously winning the Super Bowl is the main goal though. [Reply]

Yeah, that seems to be rewriting history a bit and jamming a narrative into the game just to make a point... they did get off to a slow start, which is about as close as you can come to saying "if only they had lost a game in week 8..." ....but, they led at halftime and were up 8 early in the 3rd.
And of course that's when Spags turns up the pressure, and Brady got sacked a few times after that and threw a pick.
I guess you could say they lost focus in the 2nd half? ....but then they wouldn't have done so had they lose earlier in the season? :-) Seems silly.
If anything, I'd say they folded under the pressure of an undefeated season becoming a little more real in the 2nd half, and there's nothing indicating Mahomes would do that. [Reply]
