The good news is we have an interesting fight, and another fight where a highly-ranked fighter will probably crush an unknown nobody. The bad news is its a fightpass card, not on TV. The even worse news is that the fight card is on in the middle of the night in China, so maybe avoid spoilers until you watch the replay at your leisure on fightpass.
Saturday Morning
2:15 AM - (Fightpass) - UFC Fight Night, Blaydes vs. Ngannou 2
The main event is good and worth watching (probably about 7AM). The co-main should be an entertaining knockout by Overeem.
Everything else is a pile of hot garbage with Chinese prospects (lol) and very low-level fighters willing to go to China in order to hang on to their UFC contracts.
Sunday Morning
2AM - (Fightpass) - Pancrase 301
Its Pancrase. Pancrase is always very bad and in the middle of the night, and this card is no exception. Judging by tapology rankings, its very unlikely that any of these random guys will ever go anywhere. [Reply]
We inexplicably have a LOT of MMA this weekend. The UFC does this Friday/Saturday fight card thing about twice a year and for some reason this is one of those weekends. And for some weird reason Bellator decided to also have fights on both days.
Wednesday
11pm - (Fightpass) - AFC 143
Its been a while since we had a random Wednesday fight card from Alaska, so sure, why not. The quality of this card based on tapology rankings is probably worse than Pancrase, which is really, really bad. I guess thats why they do these on Wednesday nights where they have no competition.
Friday
8pm - (Paramount) - Bellator 210, Njokuani vs. Salter
This card is pretty bad for Bellator. It may end up being entertaining anyway, because it is filled with prospects trying to fight their way up, but there isn't really a "main event" fight here at all.
7pm TV - (5:30 pm Fightpass/7pm FS1) - The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale
The TUF 28 Champions for Heavyweight and Women's Featherweight will be crowned, but more importantly we've got a pretty sweet fight between RDA and Kamaru Usman. Obviously the rest of the card isn't great on paper since this is a TUF Finale.
Saturday
3pm - (Paramount) - Bellator 211, Sakara vs. Kauppinen
Card in Italy, this is also pretty unremarkable. This or college football? Probably not a tough choice.
7pm TV - (6pm Fightpass/7pm FS1) - UFC Fight Night, Dos Santos vs. Tuivasa
This is an above-average free card. The prelims are decent, and the last 3 fights on the main card are all very good. [Reply]
Wow, I guess there's not much to do in Argentina. They have been partying and honoring Ponzinibbio for nearly two weeks now. He even met with the president of Argentina yesterday.
Hermoso homenaje! Gracias La Plata ❤️ gracias ARGENTINA ❤️ Les voy a traer el TÍTULO!! / Beautiful tribute! Thank you La Plata ❤️ thank you ARGENTINA ❤️ I'm going to bring you the TITLE/ Belo tributo! Obrigado La Plata ❤️ obrigado ARGENTINA ❤️ vou trazer o Título pic.twitter.com/byGI56mYGg
Because Dana White and the UFC are both mentally ****ing retarded, Greg Hardy's first UFC fight was scheduled for the same day as Rachael Ostovich's fight!
There was really only one fight card that you absolutely, positively could not put Greg Hardy on without making the whole situation even worse. And the UFC put him on exactly that fight card. https://t.co/YsWHoL6I1K
We have a crapton of combat sports this weekend and a really good UFC PPV.
Friday
5pm - (Fightpass) - TKO 45
This is the top Canadian B-level promotion, and this card on tapology looks about average by local promotion standards.
Saturday
11am - (Fightpass) - Glory 62
Kickboxing
3pm - (Fightpass) - Cage Warriors 100
Top B-level promotion in Europe, and since this is the 100th numbered card for the promotion, they seem to have tried to put together an event featuring the best fighters on their roster. This card is well above average for a local promotion.
7pm TV - (5pm Fightpass/7pm FS1/9pm PPV) - UFC 231, Holloway vs. Ortega
This is a very good card with 2 interesting title fights, two other fights on the PPV that should also be fun to watch, and some really good prelims. Every once in a while the UFC gets lucky, no one gets hurt, and a card they planned on paper ends up not falling apart for a change. There are a whopping 9 fights on this card that I am very interested in seeing.
12:30 am Sunday - (Fightpass) - Pancrase 302
Its Pancrase. Pancrase is usually terrible garbage. This card is a little better than normal for them based on tapology rankings, but it is still bad.
Sunday
1pm - (Fightpass) - Polaris 8
Yeah right, there's a Chiefs game on, so we're not watching this. Polaris is BJJ submission-only grappling.
7pm - (Fightpass) - EBI 18, the Female Strawweights
Yes, there is yet another event Sunday night, but its a pretty cool one. The Eddie Bravo Invitational is a submission-only tournament. [Reply]

For the casual MMA fans out there who might be idly reading this, although McGregor, Jon Jones, and to a lesser extent Cormier might be hogging all the press and attention right now, THIS fight is the fight that has been generally identified by pure hardcore MMA fans as potentially the best title fight of the whole damn year. I'm not really even sure who should be favored between Holloway and T-City, but I am fairly confident that its going to be a good one. [Reply]
