Lands a serviceable guy on a deal that is team friendly, did not overpay, while upgrading the position. Though just about anyone would be an upgrade over Schofield at RT.
Elway got Okun dirt cheap and then Stephenson which allowed them to move the young Schofield inside to Guard where he is improving.
Only problem with Stephenson has been the fact he has been dinged up.
Offensive line is just a weird beast. You can get close to Pro Bowl level play out of a rookie center one year and the next see him look like utter shit. You can take a struggling Donk RT like Ryan Harris, sign him dirt cheap, and make him a "serviceable" option. You can take an inconsistent fat piece of shit like Donald Stephenson, overpay him, and make him "serviceable." You can sign the best RT in the game who played for arguably the worst team in football and see him struggle somewhat on his new team.
You can say that Horseface has produced a Super Bowl winner and built an extremely impressive defense. But to say Donald Stephenson is a part of his brilliance? Uhh... no. Not even fucking close. [Reply]

Can I climb on the bandwagon with you?
Denver had a 27-13 lead going into halftime last year at Pittsburgh. I think that was the game where we were missing both of our starting safeties, and David Bruton had to play the last three quarters of the game with a broken leg. DeMarcus Ware didn't play that game either. [Reply]

BTW I counted 3 late hits on Winston including 1 shot to Winston's head and 1 when he was giving himself up and the refs completely ignored them. The league favors them, it was VERY obvious to an outside observer... [Reply]
