Here’s a first look at your newest Kansas City Chief, @fanudike. pic.twitter.com/P0T2q0UFmG

Felix Anudike-Uzomah was drafted with pick 31 of round 1 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 8.73 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 209 out of 1634 DE from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/maz03OdBwq pic.twitter.com/xoMJ9ki2Pv

Veach said the #Chiefs had 16-18 players with first round grades and Felix was one of them.

Also said a couple AFC teams weren’t interested in trading with Kansas City.

Naturally.

Felix Anudike-Uzomah, just now: "I got drafted by literally my favorite team growing up."

He had a few big hits if I remember correctly

Didn't play much. But he didn't need to be rushed in.

The little he did play, I noticed him a couple of times. hopefully a late bloomer when he gets his chance probably next year because I'm kinda assuming Danna will hit free agency and he will get the start there. If he doesn't, then he must not be that good.

He did some good things. He's just buried on the depth chart right now. Overall it's a veteran filled DL. George walked in day one and had little competition. It's not like that for Felix.

Give him the off season to keep developing. Not giving up. I can see the big picture with him.

He's still only 21!

He ranks right up there with Blaine Gabbert

Shame he hasn't had more snaps, it would be more encouraging, but next year is the year to start judging.

Not getting snaps in the scrub bowl isn’t good any way you spin it.

So, you're all saying we need to give FAU another year before we can start calling him FAUX?

It always surprises me how big he is. For some reason I always expect him to be more like Melvin Ingram sized.

He played 73% of all defensive snaps yesterday. He was on the field quite a bit.

It's a red shirt year. I'm excited for him next season.

I still like the pick, but I will say this, perhaps one of the reasons the Chiefs have struggled this year is they drafted a player in the first round who would not contribute to the success of this team. Its difficult drafting late in round one, but man we need to draft someone in the upcoming draft in round one that can come in and help this team. Which is why I think we are looking at WR or Oline.

He might take a couple years like Ford did being only 21.
