The dude was a 7th round pick for a reason.

Read the scouting reports. These are the same knocks he had all through his collegiate career. Weaknesses are vision, reading the play, waiting for the play to develop, doesn't follow blocks, below average as a pass catcher and blocker.

Truth be told, he hasn't shown anything in the preseason to suggest he's more than what he was drafted as, other than some idle tweets about practice reps. Has basically no yards after contact this preseason. No remarkable plays in the positive direction, with at least a couple that looked bad. Seth Keysor broke another one down where he disregarded the play design and ran into the back of the line.

He's being overrated because a certain number of people hate CEH and want Pacheco to displace him. It's not that Pacheco has shown anything that suggests he will. It's all wishful thinking.

The RB position is still a problem on this team and Pacheco isn't going to solve it.

Mostly spot on. He has shown that he can catch the football, but not much else. (I've only seen 2 preseason games though). Based on that small sample size, he looks a Nile Davis with better hands.

Yeah the hype dick has deflated. He still looks like he's got some pop in the open field and can be a contributor in the passing game. And you'd hope the inability to read the defense etc could be coached up.

There's physical talent in that RB room. We have an O-line who's strength is allegedly mauling foo's. Yet we can't get ANYTHING out of these backs? None of them? Maaaan....

He's being potentially over rated because of the Chiefs, not because of any desire to see CEH displaced. It's the Chiefs who had him running with the 1's all camp. It's the Chiefs press dropping hints and subliminals. There'd be no hype with out it.

I know many on here don't pay attention to the rest of the NFL, but everybody's running game looke pretty bad in the preseason. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it's hard to practice in TC.

EB seemed to be really good at developing RB’s when he was the RB coach. Maybe we should look at the RB coach. Maybe Nagy being back gives EB a little more time with RB’s again.

Once you get to that upper echelon of players, it's hard to argue.

Walter Payton fumbled a ton. As did Jim Brown, OJ Simpson and Eric Dickerson.

Sanders has the most negative yardage accrued of any RB in history.

Emmitt Smith ran behind some of the best offensive lines of all time, along with some of the best surrounding talent any player could ask for.

Adrian Peterson was a great pure rusher, but he wasn't anything special catching passes or blocking.

Gale Sayers didn't play for very long.

The fact that Sanders accomplished what he did with the Lions, a historically awful franchise, puts him over the top by a decent margin IMO.

Every team boosts their scrubs in the preseason, though. Both by the team and fluff jobs by local media. For the most part, it's meaningless.
