Crazy times.
I just bought 2000 rounds of .223. full metal jacket, not brass, .65 a round, and I thought that was cheap. I would have laughed at paying that price 3 years ago... but it seems to be a bargain. Octane is great, need some cheaper stuff to shoot. Think I am going to buy an AR that shoots .22 to stay practiced.

They make a drop in bolt in 22lr octane for the AR-15 race car. Even comes with a mag rim
They work great from what Ive read.

Ans that buy was as good a deal as ive read about in sometime.

Traders are braced for a gasoline price surge as the largest U.S. fuel pipeline remains shut down following a ransomware cyberattack https://t.co/FdQEyNSmzg

Gas pipelines shut down, fires at chip factories, ships getting stuck in canals. There are a lot of things happening to create shortages in a lot of different sectors. What the fuck is going on?

I'm going to pick up a couple extra bags of gasoline just to be safe.

Good Lord, we share a road with these people.

Oh, shit. #gasshortage? Better pick up a couple extra bags. pic.twitter.com/a09ue2eQfK

Life.

CHAMBLEE, Ga. - More than 1,000 gas stations in the Southeast reported running out of fuel, primarily because of what analysts say is unwarranted panic-buying among drivers, as the shutdown of a major pipeline by a gang of hackers entered its fifth day Tuesday.

One could argue that this is what you get when you neglect infrastructure and allow monopolies and cartels to operate unchecked, resulting in massive consolidation of supply funneling through single points of failure. I'm not going to argue it, but one could.

Don't we have a "strategic reserve" any more?

Gas lines here in TN. Some stations are already out of regular.

Of course. There's reserves of nearly a billion barrels of gasoline in the Northeast as part of the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve. But the relevant authorities (potentially up to and including the President) would have to decide to use it. Thus far, they haven't.

A tank only holds so much.

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is crude oil, not refined gasoline.

This is a disruption of shipping, not a disruption of refining.
