Also, the older you get, the harder it is to find someone you can connect with that isn't already taken. Sometimes, they're not so close. I think that's why Clay goes for the near teenagers. Probably why guys I like tend to be younger. They're what's available. [Reply]

I don't remember saying that. I said I'd be a horrible boyfriend. At this point I'm willing to see just how awful a boyfriend I might be. This entire dating thing, since last August, is mostly about personal growth. I'm just in it to get the experience mostly. I have lost time to make up for. If something happens along the way, great. I have only been out with three girls who were under 20. The rest were all 22+ and one was 30.
Oh...of course one was 39...bless that woman. :-) [Reply]

This one is the same age as me which I think is pretty good. We like the same music...she likes my hair.
I don't think she likes sports much but that isn't an issue at all to me. [Reply]
I have a friend who is almost 28. He's had 3 girlfriends over the last 7 years with probably a period of about a year of being single. None of the girlfriends have been over 22.
I've always wondered if he had a case of arrested development. [Reply]

Spot on. I miss how easy this was in my 20s... [Reply]

Yeah, that's rough.
I'm currently in a long distance relationship. She lives about 100 miles away from me but is on a work assignment that runs through next year that has her even further away (~250 miles). We spend every weekend together either at my place, her current location or meet in the middle at her permanent place.
Sometimes getting through Monday - Thursday can be difficult and the 1 weekend a month dedicated to class is especially tough.
However, if it's the right person it'll work itself out. It's kind of strange, but I have quite a few friends who now are either in long distance relationships or were in them for 1-2 years before they moved to the same city.

I had a manager at a high school job who was in his mid to late 30s, and he didn't date anyone over 20 (and I heard plenty of stuff about what happened behind closed doors with the ~17 year old girls at work).... I once heard him say "she'll be gone soon, because she's gettin' too old" when talking about his gf, who I think was 18, and was living with him at the time. [Reply]

In some ways I know how to handle children, Growing up I was much older than my sister and brother, when I was 20 my sister was 10 and my brother was 8.
