That’s a wrap on the Chiefs’ first practice here in St. Joe. It’s just QBs, rookies and a handful of players returning from injuries right now, but a few notes:

- Jody Fortson had a strong day, catching three TDs in red zone 7-on-7

- Trent McDuffie had a PBU in the end zone

Good to hear Fortson is already practicing and making plays.

That kid was on his way to being a valuable weapon in the red zone when he went down. Fantastic news that he’s dominating early practices in red zone work. I understand it’s not the full roster out there yet, but 3tds in RZ work means he hasn’t lost his explosiveness after injury and that’s a great sign.
