Obviously theater reopenings including their second largest market Cali opening up next week.
Stimulus checks. You can say this for every stock but if you look at volume for AMC compared to other possible squeeze stocks nobody comes close. AMC is more enticing to a lot of people based on its current cost per share vs GME.
Hype. Other than GME no other meme stocks are getting near the hype as AMC right now. There are an absurd amount of investors that rely on hype vs fundamentals so its not a bad thing at all.
Shorted shares/short interest growing higher every week. So much so that the hedge funds are obviously paying institutions like Fintel to post inaccurate numbers. How do I know this? Their numbers do not even come close to the interest real trading platforms like Fidelity, TD, Webull and even shit Robinhood are charging. If it were a few points it'd be one thing but there's an over 10% difference in what Fintel is reporting vs what the most popular free trading platforms are charging. Obvious manipulation.
Last but not least and Hogfarmer talked about it earlier, social media sabotaging. AMC groups from Reddit, Yahoo finance and Stocktwits have all reported an influx of new users joining and posting racist, antisemitic and other hate speech in droves. These hedge funds are doing everything they can to try to shut down these retail social media platforms because they're desperate and scared.
Something big is going to happen and will within the next few weeks imo. Hopefully on the 19th during the quadruple witching. [Reply]
Best setups for swing trades this week from charting this weekend.
AME above 125 with stop loss at 119.50, target 135
SPB above 89.95 with stop loss 82, target 97
Reversal plays have been nicely lately and I have done well with them on SQ, PYPL and EXPI this past 2 weeks. This one is riskier but the upside is also higher as it's dropped all the way to it's 150 days moving average. CRSP. If you get in at 130 the stop should be set for 122.90 (150 days moving average), which is 5.4% risk. If it falls below that it breaks support and could fall very far. [Reply]
How many kids do the people of walmart have in your area?
Last time the flat screens and game consoles flew off the shelves. Just trying to figure out if there are some investments to be made on the back of the next spending spree. [Reply]

Trey definitely has at least a mild form of autism, you can tell by his mannerisms. Likely high functioning and since his expertise is obviously stonks I feel even more confident with AMC. [Reply]
It's making the idiot who bought the ford knife 4 or 5 weeks straight a year ago look like he knew what he was doing. That idiot just needs to figure out what to roll year long holds of ford, spy, disney and a little tesla into now.
I feel like I'm too late on the airlines, but Boeing looks to have some room left. Most of the hotels have already made their runs. Walmart is in a dip. I completely missed the boat on Deere and Cat, but I can't see how those runs can continue to fuck the moon. There have to be some sectors left that haven't finished their covid runs, but I'm not seeing them. [Reply]

How much did that Ford position gain for you in the past year? [Reply]

eh... lets call it roughly 7.75, 6, 5, 4.25 in 25% chunks and it's trading mid 13s now. I hit the others at nearly their exact bottom and they exploded, so it's a little harder to compare it to them as I got really lucky with all ins.
Next week will hit the year end dates on the 4 listed above. Where would you roll any of the above into if looking for new, relatively safe, year long rides? [Reply]

I don’t think anything is safe for another year. This bull market is extended and could see a major bear market or at least a significant correction in the next year. [Reply]
