Picked up a 21 day aged beef tenderloin I'm gonna slice up and wrap the filets in some hickory smoked bacon from the grandparents farm and throw on the charcoal.
looks nice. i do miss the fattier cuts from back in kansas. a slab of ribs here are half the size of a typical american slab. decided it's not even worth it given the costs. :-) [Reply]
Had Ribeye's from Curt's Meat Market in Independence last night. If you're looking for a really fine steak, Curt's is right up there with McGonigals for beef. Tonight I'm just putting a frozen lasagna in the oven. Don't feel like cooking on Father's Day. Mrs. Blowfish has a summer cold and sounds like Tom Waits.

I see that and it makes me want to break my dieting and gym habits but thank God my will power is still holding. :-) [Reply]

I definitely do when I start out cutting weight. The leaner I get, the less and less I can have the fatty steaks. But on a very low carb day, with being good for days on end, I'd do a huge Ribeye and eat every bit of fat on it. :-) [Reply]

DO IT!
My fear is I'll have an appetizer, salad, steak, baked potato, veggie, a beer or martini, a bottle of red wine, dessert and an after dinner drink.
I go full bore in when I go for one of these meals. My last one was at The Golden Steer in Las Vegas around April 5th or 6th. It was a big ass meal. Last one like that during my sacrificing. :-) [Reply]

That's why you cook it at home. No cheating when you do that because it's too much work! Steak and veggies is easy to make. [Reply]
tonight was lemon pepper and garlic salt salmon (skin on and severely seared). apple sauce and apple cider vinegar zucchini and button squash, seared. and some sort of prepackaged noodle that was a dark cheddar and spinach/cheese based. :-)
