Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who suffered a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint Saturday night, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital this morning and now has been cleared to return to Kansas City.
#Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered, per multiple sources. Opening night is three weeks from this Thursday night.
Sources: The #Chiefs are placing WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on IR, and he will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint. After multiple imaging studies, it was determined that, although Hollywood felt better, his injury was not healing correctly. Without corrective… pic.twitter.com/xtRRMvmseq
Andy Reid said Hollywood Brown is “ahead of schedule” and attacking his rehab, but he wouldn’t commit to a certainty of seeing him this season. Called him “a relentless worker.”
DeAndre Hopkins has 11 regular season games to get up to get fully comfortable within the #chiefs offense and with Patrick Mahomes. By the time the postseason arrives, I'm told there is a real chance Hollywood Brown could return. Which would make KC's it's most complete at the…

You think he suits up against Pittsburgh? I don’t think so, but that would be great.
I wouldn't be surprised if Andy sits Patrick after halftime in the Browns game with the upcoming workload in mind. [Reply]

WTF??? I think you have lost your mind… No way this is happening till the one seed is secured… And when have we blown a team out lately to have the backups come in??? If the Bills lose and we beat the Browns then this scenario is possible… [Reply]

I think Christmas would be the goal, a fresh body on a Wed game seems right. [Reply]
The Chiefs are opening WR Hollywood Brown’s practice window today, per source. Hope has been he’d return this week or next, so he’s right on time. First step in getting him back into game action.

Nice. Think you give him about 40%-60% snaps against the Steelers and a few snaps against the broncos even if we're playing backups just to knock rust off and get him up to football shape and you can roll with him 100% in the playoffs.
He shouldn't be too out of football shape but you still have to get used to taking hits and the mental toll that comes with being in the game and in rhythm. [Reply]

I think you see him for that amount of reps against the Texans next week.
Win that one and you probably aren’t getting a lot of reps with Mahomes the rest of the way. [Reply]

Well when you said that about being devastating to our chances to 3peat, I thought you were talking about them being cautious for the rest of the year in favor of his long term health. [Reply]
