Combined two of my favorite drinks today. Not sure it's a real drink but it was quite good. Combination of a Manhattan and a whiskey sour. 2 oz rye whiskey, 1 oz sweet vermouth, dash of orange bitters and juice from 1 medium lemon. Quite tart, which I prefer, but could add some simple syrup for others.
We also just finished redoing the table this drink sits on. Solid oak table but was blonde in color, very light wood. We sanded and refinished to a dark table. Props to Mrs. Lewdog for most of the work on the table.

So I got home from work very late and noticed that I had a partial bottle of vodka left over from Christmas. Figured I'd drain it. Didn't look like much left in there so I chugged it real quick. Damn. More than I thought was in the bottle, I guess. I'm buzzed as fuck. [Reply]
