I really did not like Andy running him ragged last night. We are playing 3 games in 11 days. 29 carries in a game we were blowing a team out was not smart IMO. [Reply]

It was weird to see KC so run heavy in the first half.
I think Hunt had more carries on the first drive than he did in the first half last week. [Reply]

Yeah, really glad he took another 6-8 completely unnecessary shots in a game that was clearly decided.
That was exactly the kind of game where he'd done his job and it was time to sit him. Reid leaned hard on him in the 1st and that's fine - no problem trying to soften up the D and get some rhythm with the OL.
But c'mon, he'd taken a pounding in the 1st and guys were dropping like flies. When you were up 3 scores in the 4th it was time to get Akeem and West a few carries. You don't send him out there to keep absorbing punishment.

If Kareem Hunt is returning punts then we have more problems than a rushing title. He was getting 13 yards then out. Chill out [Reply]
It was awesome that he got the title on exactly one carry. 35 yards and a TD! That's how you do it. I remember back when Steve Young needed just a bit to break a record for quarterback rating or something in a meaningless game. He came in and executed a perfect drive. No incompletions and a TD. He got the record and went to the bench. It was reckless for the 49ers to risk their QB on a record, but it worked out. Worked out great for Hunt and the Chiefs too. [Reply]
