They actually have a shot to overtake Miami. Miami plays the Patriots, Raiders, and Buffalo to close out their season. The problem is, the Ravens are gonna take that spot if Miami loses it. Baltimore plays the Jaguars, Giants and Bengals. So they're likely gonna win out. [Reply]
nobody in the world even wants the Raiders to make it after the last three weeks, unless you want a new placeholder for worst wildcard playoff game. might even outclass the 2016 appearance when they were playing with a third string QB, the defense is that bad. [Reply]
Well, let's be honest here. Gruden's offense is good enough to win a lot of games. They beat us by scoring 40 points. and they've averaged 28 points/game this season. That's enough to win 66% of your games most years.
The defense hasn't been good since before he got there. And okay, Gruden's the HC, so the defensive struggles are part of his responsibility, but he's not the DC either.
If Gruden has a weakness, it's that he's too loyal to some players. He decided to make Carr a franchise QB, and he's just wrong. Other than that, he's put together a pretty good offense, and Carr is better than he was, but he's still Carr. Gruden should've moved off him after last season, but here we are. [Reply]
