Some fun here. Edwards-Helaire rushed for 1,415 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior .. all-purpose yards -- receiving (55 receptions, 453 yards) and kick returner (KEY) 10 returns, 214 yards pic.twitter.com/3Duq1jjy6J
Holy offense Bat Man. I love Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He is best Rb in the draft. Watkins and Hill deep. Kelce in the middle. And Edwards-Helaire underneath. Good Luck defenses.
Brett Veach told Andy Reid to watch some Clyde Edwards-Helaire film and told Reid you’ll see Brian Westbrook. Reid watched. Then got back to Veach and said he’s better than Westbrook.

But then I read somewhere that CEH ran a 4.5 or sub 4.5 sec 40 in HS, and why would he get slower in college? Not that I'm that concerned with his 40 time. It's his agility and instincts that jump off the screen at me. He's not Barry Sanders of course, but his instincts and lateral agility remind me in some ways of Barry.
Nice. So that's pretty respectable, IMO. I mean, 4.6 isn't slow, people. My brother ran 4.6 in HS, and if i gave him just a 5 yard headstart it would take me about 30-40 yards to catch him. 4.47 sec may not be Olympic speed, but in the NFL it's pretty fast.
And there's a better than even chance that he's actually faster than that now. [Reply]
Even in his highlights, he was caught up by defensive players while on the run. But that’s ok, not everyone has to be a track star. What’s even more impressive from his tape is his lateral speed, amazing agility, ability to make the first man miss, and most importantly his ball security. [Reply]

Or you could be a track star and a two time Doak Walker winner which goes to the best RB in college football.
The scheme will make him look faster than he is. Kareem Hunt was (IIRC) over 4.6 at the 2017 Combine and had multiple long TDs. We've seen similar plays from other backs the last couple of years. That's all scheme. And Edwards-Helaire is more talented than anyone we've had, and is a much better fit for what we do than anyone we've had. [Reply]
Not only did Kareem run wild, and how fun that was, but instead what it did the opposing defense and how it helped Patrick win MVP while throwing for 50/5,000.
You know Andy and co. probably made the right decision when virtually every other fan base is upset by our pick. There are 49ers fans that hate the fact that we got CEH. [Reply]
Ok ok ok.....no more, I get it....AGREE WE DID GOOD GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Just watch what this kid did vs. Alabama this year and remember it's okay to admit that maybe you are wrong and mayne Brett Veach, Andy Reid and Pat Mahomes know football and what fits this offense far better than you. Do you see that action out of the backfield? Jonathan Taylor cant do that in his wettest dream.
Now just imagine this guy surrounded by Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman and Patrick freaking Mahomes. CEH is the cherry on top. We are a spread offense. Not a power run team. CEH is the absolute perfect fit. [Reply]
CEH in watching him has the quick feet of Barry Sanders, the bowling ball power of a Jones-Drew, the route running and hands of a Marshall Faulk and the take it to the house ability like Tyreek Hill. This kid has great 'game speed'(ability to kick it in 6th gear in the open field and score regardless of what 40 time is. ). [Reply]
Taylor is a good back but I think what everyone is saying is that CEH is a better back for our team. You can't deny even our future HOF QB chose him.
Also CEH had more receptions this year alone than Taylor did all 3 years combined. That is a huge part of his game and the Chiefs offense. He is just a better fit here than Taylor was. [Reply]
