WTF is going on with RKT?

I bought some a while back at around 27-28, watched it immediately drop to below 20. It started inching up a little the last month, then today jumped into the 40s. WTF

They announced a one time dividend 5 days ago. The dividend is $1.11 a share so about 5% when it was $20.

On Reddit stocks yesterday some of these new traders were asking if you can just get the dividend and then sell lol. Combine those ppl w/ WSB and it launched. The company had earnings last week so there isn't really much of a reason for it to go up 70%. Might keep going, who knows. These kind of pump n dumps normally have just happened with penny stocks

Hype on this stock is surrounded by the release of their TRUFORMA diagnostics which will hit the shelves of veterinary clinics March 30th.

Basically a vet can diagnosis cancer and certain other conditions right there at the office visit within 15 minutes.

Talking heads predict $5-$6 but it's pure speculation. They have more products in the pipeline but most expect the price to mature before release of TRUFORMA. That's why I'm valuing the time frame more than the PT.

I listed to the Money Talks podcast from the economist. They had a Bond guy on there talking about T Bonds. I haven't paid attention to treasuries in years because, fucking why?

Anyway, the dude on there postulated that last week's negative action in the markets was driven by a pretty sizable (comparatively) runup in the Treasury Markets. He was quick to point out that as high as they got was an all time low in 2016 or thereabouts, but as quick as it gained the market got spooked pretty hard.

Apparently there were some extenuating circumstances that moved the price like it did, which I can't remember (fuck off I was at the gym), but the thing I do remember is there were some Japanese and some other country that were buyers at that price (apparently their interest rates are lower yet).

Bottom line is there were some extremely lightly correlated things that happened and the treasuries spiked some and that created some (perhaps localized) hysteria about inflation.

That's the only place I heard any of that. What I took away is, "buckle up kids." Nobody wants to be out of the market place in this environment, but the people that matter are nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof.

If there are any real, solid indicators of even healthy - but slightly elevated - inflation, it could get real ugly real quick. And if fools are ready to jump on our treasuries, it could get out of hand real quick.
