Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who suffered a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint Saturday night, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital this morning and now has been cleared to return to Kansas City.
#Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered, per multiple sources. Opening night is three weeks from this Thursday night.
Sources: The #Chiefs are placing WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on IR, and he will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint. After multiple imaging studies, it was determined that, although Hollywood felt better, his injury was not healing correctly. Without corrective… pic.twitter.com/xtRRMvmseq
Andy Reid said Hollywood Brown is “ahead of schedule” and attacking his rehab, but he wouldn’t commit to a certainty of seeing him this season. Called him “a relentless worker.”
DeAndre Hopkins has 11 regular season games to get up to get fully comfortable within the #chiefs offense and with Patrick Mahomes. By the time the postseason arrives, I'm told there is a real chance Hollywood Brown could return. Which would make KC's it's most complete at the…

Hopkins will be 33 in the offseason. No GM should give him a large payday. [Reply]

Yeah I don't see Goodell doing that. They're going to wait until the Chiefs activate him before he's suspended. Like Dune said, out best bet is to bring him off IR as early as possible and let him serve his suspension while trying to finish getting back in game shape. Gonna be hard because he can't practice while he's suspended. [Reply]

Yeah, that’s what I meant. Just probably wasn’t clear enough. I just want us to utilize the suspension as recovery time. Not just keep him on the IR until he’s completely healthy, then he has to serve his suspension. [Reply]

Rice, Worthy, Hopkins, and a mid round draft pick is a good start to the room for next year. Probably find room for Hardman and Watson somehow.
Add that to Gray getting better. Maybe Wiley contributes something. Fair well tour for Kelce too? [Reply]

Rice won't be back to start next year. Investments are still needed at WR. [Reply]
Can we not just have Rice on the active roster even if he’s not actually going to play? I’m sure he’s able to run by then, just list him as questionable to start the season each week and hold him out of games. Would the NFL force him to be on IR? [Reply]

Well for one it’s still worth it to have him back as soon as possible, and second i’d assume he’s suspended right away to start the season if he’s technically on the active roster so he shouldn’t count against the roster while suspended. [Reply]
