KC has also been named as a “best fit” for the playmaker on sites like ESPN and Bleacher Report, and Hopkins listed Patrick Mahomes II as one of five quarterbacks that he’d enjoy playing with in 2023.
All of this caused Las Vegas Raiders beat reporter Tashan Reed (The Athletic) to voice a hysterical admission on May 26. “If Hopkins goes to the Chiefs we might as well just fast forward through the 2023 season,” he joked — but is this statement that far off from the truth for Raider Nation?

I was thinking the Cleveland Browns might be a good place for DeAndre to sign, but they really don't have that much money right now either. They are 23rd in the NFL with $6,991,088 of cap space.
Deshaun Watson and Hopkins played together for the Texans from 2017 - 2019.
WRs - Would be a much-needed WR for the Browns.

I don't think the Browns qualify as "stable management" or a "good defense" [Reply]

Agree but it seems like those statements might NOT mean anything. I think it will mainly be about who is going to give him best $$$ contract. Might be completely wrong, but we shall see. [Reply]

Not having approved NFLPA representation and high $$$ contract demands might slow this down.
Hopefully a new contract for DeAndre Hopkins gets delayed. That gives Chiefs some more time to watch Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Justyn Ross, Rashee Rice, John Ross, and Richie James and have a better idea of what they can do. [Reply]
