The sports card market is absolutely booming right now. I sold off enough of my other stuff to buy this. There are only 10 of them. It is indescribably beautiful.

Yea, from the little checking I've done there are a few that might be worth getting graded. A Blastoise, Dragonite, and a Ninetales, all holo's. [Reply]

The sports cards may only be worth the effort as a Lot. But there could be a few that have a more solid value and could sell on their own. But as always, condition matters.
The Pokemon are worth going through. That Charizard as I'm sure you are aware is worth a little bit. Worth to at least entertain selling it on it's own, but again condition.
I would tell him to find out the relative value of them, send in the higher dollar cards to broker like DCSports87 and they do all the hard work. For a fee of course. As far as the money aspect, you get what you get, and don't throw a fit.
:-) Maybe for you but I'm old and slow and only have a passing knowledge of what might be worth something. Didn't think to send any to a broker, thanks for the info.:-) [Reply]

I'm old too! But you got me there. Not as old as you though. :-)
All right... went in on some more card break auctions the past couple days. Yesterday, I wasn't able to get the Chiefs, but I traded somebody the Colts for KC tonight. He was a little disappointed by the end of it. How'd I do?
This card is a monster. It's numbered to 15. Won in a break and they didn't even have a top loader that it'd fit in. Here it is up next to a regular top loader
I love how cool this card is. It's /25. It's also metal. [Reply]
Not sure where this goes, I picked it up at a card shop in Phoenix while at Royals Spring training. I would love to display it, but I don't really have any shelves and I have two sons who like to break things. All of my other stuff is wall hanging(pictures, jerseys, etc).
Willing to sell if anyone is interested. I paid $120 for it and it's a 10/10 patch auto.

Cool piece. I don't have a place for it either, yet, but I'll shoot you a PM about it. [Reply]

Appreciate it, I responded to your DM. Yeah, I would love to display it, but my basement is short on shelves and I've got the wall covered with Chiefs/Royals stuff and some jerseys.
I didn't want that piece to stay in Arizona in a card shop, so I had to bring it home....lol
Plus it was 03' which was Holme's 27 TD season.
Funny story, I was driving down Metcalf in KC and Priest pulls up next to me in his Team Priest van. I motion him to roll down the window, we talk for maybe 20-30 seconds and he tosses me a Team Priest hoodie. Great guy [Reply]
